Jamshedpur : The Junior Engineer Examination (JSSC JE Recruitment-2022) conducted by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) on 3rd July 2022 has been embroiled in controversy due to allegations of leak of question paper. Let us inform that this examination has been organized in the state after eight years. Through this examination, 1289 posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical/Civil/Mechanical/Agriculture Engineering) are to be recruited. Although earlier only 285 vacancies were released. But JSSC later increased 1004 posts. Around 4 lakh candidates had appeared in the last examination held on July 3, but soon after the examination, many examinees alleged that the question papers were leaked an hour before the examination. Candidates at many centers allege that there were many such students in the center who filled only 3 to 5 questions in the OMR sheet (OMR SHEET) in the entire time of two hours. Following this allegation, students demonstrated in many parts of the state including Ranchi and raised slogans against the state government demanding cancellation of the examination. The agitating students say that their answers were made viral at 9 o’clock, an hour before the start of the JSCC exam. The allegation of selling seats to students seems to be substantiated by the information Newswing.com has received from a confidential source.

It is alleged that the papers were leaked before the examination.

,The touts had placed a demand of Rs 15 lakh for a seat. Three lakh rupees were taken in advance from the candidates who agreed to fulfill this demand. It was decided that the remaining Rs 12 lakh would be given before document verification. Till then all the original educational certificates of the candidate will remain with the brokers as hostage, so that they cannot do any wrong.

A source told NewsWing that there has been a lot of setting-gating game in this exam. This setting game also includes pimps, some people from the test-taking agency, and some white collars. However, the source did not reveal his name and address. According to him, the touts had placed a demand of Rs 15 lakh for a seat. Three lakh rupees were taken in advance from the candidates who agreed to fulfill this demand. It was decided that the remaining Rs 12 lakh would be given before document verification. Till then all the original educational certificates of the examinees will be held hostage with the brokers, so that they cannot do any wrong. After passing the written examination, when the candidate will give the remaining Rs 12 lakh to the brokers, then the broker will return the original certificate before his document verification, so that he can present them in the document verification at JSCC.

According to the source, question papers have already been given to three lakh candidates, so that the candidates can prepare for the questions coming in the examination and can also trust them by matching them in the examination. According to the source, the candidates who had given advance of three each were taken to Kolkata and other places by giving question papers two days before the examination. There they were not allowed to use mobiles. There was also no permission to meet or talk to anyone including family members. On July 3, early in the morning on the day of the examination, these candidates were brought to their examination center and dropped. According to the source, the brokers had instructed the examinees to fill the answers of the questions in the OMR sheet for which they are 100% sure about the answers. Leave the questions which they do not know the answer to or the questions in which you have doubts. Please note that the exam was of negative marking. However, these things have not been confirmed by any official source. Newswing also does not confirm this information, but this information should be investigated in view of the allegations of question paper leak and future of qualified candidates.

However, now this matter is gaining momentum. On one hand the examinees are agitated, on the other hand Jharkhand BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev has demanded an inquiry into the allegations of question paper leak. Meanwhile, former minister and BJP MLA from Jamshedpur East, Saryu Rai has also tweeted to Chief Minister Hemant Soren saying that the news of JSSC JE first question paper leak and malpractice during the examination is worrying. Describing these allegations as serious, he has demanded an inquiry into it and the culprits who affect the examination should be identified and punished. The Aam Aadmi Party has also demanded the cancellation of this examination.
